Come and experience “The Good Life”.
We offer free range, outdoor reared lamb, pork, bacon and sausages as well as fresh farmhouse cakes and bakes - made to order.

During the summer months, we open for traditional farmhouse teas – check our events page for the latest dates.

And if you want to get away from it all and really soak up the atmosphere – we offer farmhouse bed and breakfast. You’re welcome to help feed the animals or get involved with any other farm activities that might be taking place – or simply relax and enjoy the peace and quiet.

Situated between Lampeter and Aberystwyth, and just inland from the picturesque harbour town of Aberaeron, there is plenty to enjoy.

Bed & Breakfast

Situated in a self-contained wing of the farmhouse, there is a large double bedroom, private bathroom and lounge/breakfast room.

A woodburning stove provides a warm welcome and you’re welcome to borrow books, games and puzzles to keep you entertained.

Enjoy a hearty breakfast – or something lighter – to set you up for the day.

FarmHouse Produce

We really care about the care of our livestock and the quality of our meat.

All of our lamb is born and raised here at Rhydgaled in the glorious Welsh outdoors. Available as lamb or hogget, we can provide half-lamb packs or selected cuts throughout the year.

The Rhydgaled pigs are British Saddlebacks – a traditional, English breed. They are all raised here – free range and outdoors. We produce both pork and bacon – and amazing sausages.

Farmhouse Cakes

Farmhouse bakes and cakes can be made to order. Perfect for a family get together, picnic or simply as a treat, how about a batch of home-made all butter shortbread, a super light Victoria Sponge, a classic Coffee & Walnut, a traditional farmhouse fruit cake – or perhaps our Rhydgaled speciality – Lime & Blueberry Drizzle cake.

Celebration cakes, cupcakes, brownies etc are also available and gluten/dairy free can be made upon request.

Jams, chutneys & relishes are produced as the fruits and vegetables from our garden dictate and so available seasonally.

Throughout the summer months, we welcome visitors to come and enjoy a traditional farmhouse tea with homemade scones and cakes.

About Us

Rhydgaled became our home and new way of life in December 2014 when we moved from Oxfordshire. We are me – Lindsey, and my husband, Paul Stribling, Kevin the Irish/Red Setter, our own cats Peat and Islay, who joined the already resident feline residents of Rhydgaled – TomTom (now more farm house cat than farm cat), Avery and Amalia.
